Lactobionic Acid
A PHA (poly hydroxy acid) that acts as a gentle exfoliator, while simultaneously maintaining the skin’s barrier by hydrating and acting as an antioxidant against free radicals. Its exfoliating function helps to prevent buildup, resulting in a brighter, more even skin tone.
This PHA, whose name sounds like a superhero, truly is a skincare hero. Its large, gentle molecular structure limits skin penetration and allows it to stay at the surface of the skin, where it creates a beautiful, smooth surface level of exfoliation. It is the perfect complement to the tiny glycolic acid molecules—another skincare superhero–that dive deep into the skin.
