Hydroxydecyl Ubiquinone

Also known as Idebenone, this powerful antioxidant is related to a naturally occurring antioxidant in our bodies called coenzyme Q10. It helps to protect cells from environmental damage, improve the appearance of fine lines, brightens the look of skin, plus helps to smooth the appearance of its texture.

Our skin’s own ubiquinone levels can decrease over time, especially with daily exposures to environmental stressors. Adding ubiquinone to topical skincare has been shown to improve visible signs of aging in the skin that we typically see as a result of years of sun exposure (fine lines, rough texture, uneven tone). It is a large molecule and sits on the surface of the skin, but in this case that’s desirable because it seems to protect the layers beneath.
